We’re coming up on summer and this project is worthy of sandy coastlines and sun dried driftwood. I gravitated towards these colours because I’m craving all the beach vibes right now—living in the midst of some of the biggest lakes in the world means I’m surrounded by water (literally!) and it’s apart of my soul. For those who know me or who’ve been following from the beginning…you know that I’m a lover of the water and sailing. This blanket (and the next few patterns to follow) will be indicative of just that. Earthy, beachy, sun-kissed with just a hint of sparkling water.

I truly hope you enjoy this relaxing make. With a smaller selection of colours, no colour changes and motifs that are packable—this project promises to be the bring-a-long staple. Last year I signed up for a year’s worth of yarn. It was a “yarn subscription” consisting of 12 months of surprise skeins in the mail. Each month I crocheted the skeins into a Granny Stripe Blanket (which I adore) and this year I’m doing it again…
